Jericoacoara, little place of paradise
We flew the 25th February to Fortaleza, a city which looks pretty much like Gold Coast to us! As our flight was in the afternoon, we decided to sleep there one night in order to catch the morning bus (enseada turismo) for Jerico the day after.
26.02.2015 - 28.02.2015
After 7 little hours on that bus, with our funny guide Socorro, and one hour in a jeep in the middle of the dunes, we finally arrived in this little fishermans' village.
Woaw, Jeri is so peaceful, relax and pretty. Even if it is small, there are lots of "posadas" and hotels, thanks to the tourists venue. The main place is nice, full of little restaurants, bars and surf/souvenirs shops. There is an artisanal ice cream place in the village (Casa de Pedra): oh, it is to die for! Coco mango and brownie banana, heaven.
We walked on the enormous dunes at the beach, taking some amazing sunset photos. For dinner, we had a local meal: peixe por quilo. An entire fresh fish we could choose in the kitchen, checked the weight and hop on the grill! Yummi!
The second day, we went for a morning trek to Pedra Furada. It was so so hotttt, but hopefully a bit windy. It's all way up on the hills, on a sandy way: my legs were dying hihi! After that, a big swim was well deserved, as well as a fresh limón ice cream at our fav place.
Time ran out in Jeri, we wished we would have stayed longer there. Too bad! On the 28th, we took the bus back to Fortaleza, let's go for a 7hour-ride again! But first, little stop in Lagoa Do Paraiso. Amazinnng. Laguna in the middle of nowhere, with hamacs in the water! Felt like in the Caribbean. The sky was a bit cloudy when we were there but still, the water was so good.
Bye Jeri, we gonna miss you!!
